1. These terms
This website is operated by Canvas dot Africa (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2019/592441/07), Cape Town, South Africa (“Canvas • Africa”, “we”, “us”). By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What this website is (and is not)
This website provides information about our technology advisory and execution services, anonymised case studies, and a means to request a confidential briefing or download our Board AI Governance framework. Content on this site — including service descriptions, case studies, and the governance framework — is general information. It is not professional, financial, legal, or technical advice for your specific circumstances, and it does not create an advisory or contractual engagement. An engagement with Canvas • Africa arises only from a written agreement signed by both parties.
3. Briefing requests and the “zero commercial obligation” assessment
Submitting a briefing request does not oblige us to accept an engagement, and our initial strategic assessment carries no commercial obligation on you. Either party may decline to proceed after the initial conversation. Information you share in a briefing request is handled confidentially in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4. Framework download
The Board AI Governance framework is provided for your organisation’s internal evaluation and governance use. It remains our intellectual property. You may not resell it, republish it, or present it as your own work. It is a general executive framework, not legal or regulatory advice for any specific approval.
5. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, design, the Canvas • Africa name, logo, and tagline “What matters, made clear.” — is owned by or licensed to Canvas dot Africa (Pty) Ltd. You may view and print pages for your own business evaluation of our services; any other reproduction requires our written permission.
6. Case studies
Case studies describe real engagements with clients whose identities are deliberately withheld under confidentiality obligations. They illustrate our approach; outcomes described are specific to those engagements and are not a promise of identical results for any future engagement.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use this website to submit unlawful, defamatory, or malicious content through our forms; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or its underlying systems; scrape or harvest data from the site; or interfere with its operation.
8. Privacy, forms, and analytics
Form submissions are transferred to and stored in our CRM, and — with your consent — website interaction behavior (including clicks, text highlighting, scrolling, and zoom) is recorded by analytics tools for our internal training and development purposes. Full details, including your rights under POPIA, are in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Liability
The website is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law (including the Consumer Protection Act where applicable), we are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, information published on this website, or from interruptions or errors in its availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Links
External links (if any) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
12. Changes
We may amend these terms from time to time; the current version is always published on this page with its “Last updated” date.
